Our take

The sun sits high over a stone terrace lined with clay pots. A bowl of sliced peaches rests on a white cloth beside a glass of cold water. The air carries lilac from a nearby hedge, its purple clusters heavy in the warmth. Cartago enters this space through the soft drift of that fruit and those flowers. The peach is ripe and slightly sticky, cut through by the cool, slightly soapy green of syringa. It feels like a morning that has already decided to be slow.

Around the table, rose and peony begin to unfold. Freesia adds a crisp edge while jasmine rounds the air with a creamy white floral weight. The blend stays fresh rather than sugary, each petal note distinct but willing to sit close to the next. Beneath them, labdanum and amber bring a resinous warmth that feels like sun on skin. Patchouli adds a dark earthiness that keeps the flowers from floating away, and musk settles the whole scene into a powdery, woody hush.

The terrace holds still. A woman in a linen dress reaches for her water, and the movement stirs the air around her wrists. The scent that follows is a mix of peach juice, crushed petals, and warm stone, anchored by a faint, resinous smoke rising from the clay pots.
