The room is bright with citrus as mandarin orange and bergamot cut through the air, joined by a slice of cold melon and the soft peach hint of osmanthus. Neroli adds a clean, slightly bitter edge to the opening, but the tuberose arrives fast and takes control. It is thick and waxy, pushing the lighter notes aside as jasmine weaves through it with a soft, indolic weight. Iris smooths the edges of the white petals with a powdery touch, pulling the flowers together into a dense, creamy mass that feels heavy on the skin.
Cacao pod enters with a dry, bitter chocolate scent that clashes against the vanilla and amber waiting in the background. Labdanum adds a resinous, warm stickiness, while immortelle brings a maple-like sweetness that leans into the spicy accord. The flowers do not fade into the background here. They remain loud and waxy, tangled with the dark, edible base that smells of bitter pods and warm resin. The air feels saturated with white petals and sweet spice, a thick atmosphere that refuses to lighten.
The animalic accord sits underneath the entire composition, giving the tuberose a dirty, slightly sweaty texture that some will find overwhelming. It lacks the crisp green lift that usually keeps this flower from feeling suffocating. Without that fresh contrast, the blend of heavy blooms, bitter cacao, and warm amber becomes a bit too much to wear in close company.
