Mme. Moriarty Misfortune Teller
Fragrance notes
Character
Plum and pomegranate give Mme. Moriarty Misfortune Teller a thick, jammy fruitiness that feels dark rather than bright. The vanilla here is dense and resinous, leaning into the balsamic accord instead of smelling like cake frosting. Patchouli adds an earthy depth that keeps the sweeter elements from floating away, while musk wraps the entire composition in a powdery haze. There is a warm spicy edge that prickles just enough to make the scent feel alive on skin.
The fruit and vanilla cling through a full evening out, staying present through dinner and long after the table is cleared. The scent does not travel far from the body, sitting near the warmth of the neck and the inside of a sweater sleeve. It suits a night spent in a dim room with heavy curtains drawn, surrounded by wood furniture that has absorbed years of candle smoke. It is less suited to someone who wants a crisp, airy perfume that disappears by noon. The glass stopper rests on a velvet cloth beside an open book of tarot cards.
