La Nuit… Transfigurée
Fragrance notes
Character
The leather here feels a little stiff at first, more costume than skin. It lacks the soft, lived-in ease that usually makes this material inviting, and the opening spices do not quite smooth the edge. Bergamot and pepper arrive with a brisk, angular bite, tarragon adding a cool, green snap that keeps the mood sharp rather than warm. Nutmeg tries to round the corners, but the initial impression stays upright and slightly formal, as if the wearer is standing at attention in a tailored coat.
Violet and geranium soon drift through, their powdery floral haze softening the rigid frame. Rose sits quietly in the background, lending a gentle petal texture without claiming the spotlight. Sandalwood begins to rise from below, creamy and pale, while ambroxan adds a clean, modern glow that lifts the entire composition into the air. Vanilla waits in the wings, offering a hint of sweetness that never becomes heavy, and musk wraps the spices in a fine, invisible veil.
Sunlight falls across a wide stone terrace where a table is set with linen and cold water. Someone sits perfectly still in a high-backed chair, the leather of a jacket catching the bright, clear air as violet petals drift across the warm surface of a ceramic bowl.
