C4SS1E x AMB3RNYL can feel a little clinical at first. The synthetic molecules here are not hidden behind a warm veil. Hexyl acetate and Cetonal® present a sharp, almost plastic pear that rubs against the cool, medicinal bite of borneol and laurels. It is a laboratory on the skin, where gardenia and acácia try to soften the edges but sometimes get lost in the sterility of the construction.
Night has settled over a concrete courtyard in late autumn. A fire burns in a metal bowl, sending balsamic smoke upward, while strings of bare bulbs hang above.
