Fragrance notes
A narrow kitchen fills with steam as a pot of mulled wine simmers on the stove. Someone moves through the room wearing Alecto, and the air shifts. The orange is bright and sharp, but the black pepper tears through it with a dry bite. It is not a sweet citrus. The cinnamon adds a warm dust to the air, sitting close to the skin while the fruit hovers just above it.
The floral heart does not arrive gently. Aldehydes spark across the surface, giving the jasmine and rose a metallic, soapy edge that feels clean and severe. This is not a soft bouquet. The flowers are cold and structured, pushed forward by that fizzy, chemical lift. Beneath them, a heavy foundation of oud and patchouli anchors the scent to the floor, mixing with the dark stain of black musk and the resinous weight of amber.
The cedar provides a dry backbone to the entire composition, keeping the rich base from feeling muddy. It is a scent for a person who enjoys standing near the heat of the stove in a heavy wool coat, preferring spices and dark woods over light, airy mists. Wear it when the windows are fogged and the night is cold.
