Mosaic opens with a sharp clash that some will find off-putting. The rhubarb and bitter orange bring a tart, almost sour edge that fights against the heavy pour of sugar and saffron. That initial friction can feel abrasive rather than bright, and the cumin in the heart adds a sweaty, earthy heat that pushes the composition toward something challenging. It is not a smooth, easy entrance into the fragrance.
The violet leaves offer a cool green breath against the warm caramel and frankincense. Cedar provides a dry structure while the turmeric and ginger twist the amber accord into something peppery and root-like. Suede and oud ground the mix with a dark, textured leather feel, though the vanilla and ambergris try to soften the blow. It feels dense, synthetic in spots, and entirely unconcerned with mass appeal.
This is the scent of a dimly lit concrete courtyard in a city that smells of rain, heated stone, and expensive outerwear.
