Roll-On Perfume No. 22
Fragrance notes
Ylang-ylang, Tahitian vanilla, and sandalwood form the whole composition. The ylang-ylang brings a bright yellow floral tone that feels sunny and slightly humid. Tahitian vanilla adds a sweet, balsamic warmth that wraps around the other materials. Sandalwood gives the blend a woody, powdery foundation that keeps the sweetness from floating away.
The scent sits in the oriental floral family with a clear gourmand lean. It is soft and close, never sharp or medicinal. The powdery accord makes it feel vintage, like a compact found at the bottom of a handbag. Warm spicy notes give it a gentle lift so the vanilla does not become flat.
This is a unisex release that leans toward wearers who enjoy florals with heavy wood and sugar. It suits cooler evenings and autumn days when a cozy skin scent feels right. Those who dislike powdery florals or heavy vanilla may find it too old-fashioned for daily wear.
Denise Estrada composed this 2018 roll-on for Melange Perfume. The format makes it easy to dab on a wrist or collar without a spray mechanism. It smells like a small wooden bowl filled with dried vanilla orchids and fine sawdust.
