HEKAYA GREY
Fragrance notes
HEKAYA GREY opens with a bright bergamot that feels clean and immediate. Davana adds a soft, fruity herbal touch that keeps the start from leaning too sharp. The heart brings patchouli and rosemary together, earthy and green at once. Leather appears beside oud, giving the center a dry, resinous weight. Labdanum and amber in the base create a warm, golden foundation. White musk smooths the edges without making the blend sweet. Vetiver grounds the finish with a cool, rooty freshness. The aromatic accord runs through every layer and ties the wood to the spice.
The leather and oud feel natural rather than polished or mass market. The green facets from rosemary and vetiver keep the resin from becoming heavy. It suits cooler days and evening wear, when warm materials feel appropriate. The musk and amber give it a gentle comfort that balances the darker notes. One limitation is that the davana can read slightly medicinal next to the leather. The bergamot helps, but the herbal edge remains present throughout. The composition stays interesting, though the fruit and the resin do not always sit perfectly together.
