Cardamom opens the door, but this is no bright, sunlit spice. The opening is dark, steeped in resin, with a green bite that feels more like crushed stems than fresh leaves. You can smell the amber waiting beneath it, round and heavy, long before the cardamom fades. It does not rush to dry down. The transition is slow, letting the spice and the resin sit together until the line between them disappears. There is a woody accord running through the center, though the notes do not name it, steady and dry enough to keep the amber from turning sweet. This is not a clean, office-friendly scent. It carries a slight roughness, a natural edge that feels intentional rather than careless. You wear it when the pavement is still warm from the day and the streetlights are just flickering on.
