Isadora opens with a sharp bite of frankincense that cuts through the soft, juicy sweetness of pear. The hazelnut adds a dry, roasted edge to the first few minutes. Saffron threads through the heart, lending a metallic glow to the jasmine sambac and osmanthus. The rose here is not dewy. It feels pressed and slightly austere, sitting close to the saffron's heat.
Sandalwood and oud form a heavy, resinous base that anchors the brighter florals. Vanilla and labdanum push the scent toward a thick, golden amber. The powdery accord is noticeable, giving the blend a vintage, cosmetic air that some will find charming and others will find dated. It is a dense composition that stays close to the skin.
