Character
Cold air drifts through a narrow street where old brick buildings hold the night still. A man walks past a row of closed shops with his collar turned up against the wind. The air around him carries a bright citrus flash that feels sudden against the stone. Bergamot leads the way with a clean, slightly bitter edge, and lemon follows close behind to sharpen the air even more.
The scent stays close to his jacket as he moves. Leather begins to rise from the base and gives the citrus a darker frame. It smells like worn gloves and a well-used bag, animalic and warm in the cold. The mix feels aromatic and fresh spicy at the same time, never leaning fully toward sweet or fully toward dry.
He does not smell like the crowd inside the warm bars he passes. This is a personal choice that sits apart from the usual heavy woods and sugar that fill the night air. The citrus keeps the leather from feeling too heavy, while the leather stops the lemon from floating away without a home.
Someone who likes a sharp edge with a rugged backbone will enjoy this walk. Wear it when the night is clear and the air bites at the skin, and let the leather do the talking.
