Marrakech (Марракеш) opens with a brisk mix of Atlas cedar, coffee, and bergamot, joined by coriander, sage, and tarragon. The start feels dry and aromatic rather than sweet, with the coffee adding a roasted edge to the crisp green herbs. Tuberose and jasmine soon arrive, supported by cinnamon, cloves, marjoram, and calamus. The white florals are rich and heavy, and the spices keep them from floating away. Cinnamon appears again here, reinforcing the warm tone that runs through the heart.
The base is where the fragrance settles into its full character. Musk, vanilla, leather, smoke, sandalwood, heliotrope, frankincense, castoreum, amber, celery seeds, fenugreek, berry fruits, and oakmoss combine into a dense, powdery, and animalic foundation. The smoke and leather give it a rugged texture, while vanilla and heliotrope soften the sharper edges. Castoreum and fenugreek add a deep, slightly bitter warmth that suits a cold night and a dim room. Berry fruits peek through the heavy woods and resins without brightening the blend. The drydown stays woody, powdery, warm spicy, smoky, white floral, leather, amber, vanilla, musky, and animalic.
