Redwood Leaves does not hide its synthetic edge. The California redwood note carries a faint plastic sharpness that stays present throughout, and the amber accord leans a little heavy, giving the blend a thickness that can feel slightly clumsy if the air is warm. It is not a perfectly polished composition, and the musky base does not fully smooth out the rougher facets of the petitgrain and angelica.
