He wants a scent that feels substantial, something that matches the weight of a wool coat and the quiet of a night spent away from the crowd. This is for the person who finds comfort in heavy, resinous air and does not mind standing out in a room full of fresh citrus or clean laundry soaps.
The opening presents a sharp, resinous bite of elemi and Brazilian rosewood that quickly gives way to a thick cloud of frankincense and myrrh. It is a deeply balsamic composition where patchouli adds an earthy density to the smoke. The base brings ambergris and vanilla forward, creating a sweet, powdery musk that feels warm and slightly animalic. It smells expensive and old-world, like walking into a lavish space filled with burning resins and dark wood panels.
