Sagittarius is a rose fragrance that refuses to be pretty. The opening puts forward a sharp, peeling citrus brightness, but its real point is the tension between the rose and the leather. That tension is the first reason to see this as a statement scent rather than a crowd-pleaser. The raspberry note is present, yet it does not soften the edges. Instead, it makes the floral heart feel slightly bruised, which lets the leather come forward sooner and with more bite. The tonka bean and vetiver in the base do not smooth the composition into something safe. They keep it dry and rooty, so the sweetness stays in the background.
The second reason is the way the animalic and earthy accords behave once the scent settles. This is not a polite aromatic amber. It leans into a dirty, resinous warmth that can feel confrontational if you are expecting a standard fruity floral. The limitation is that the leather and the animalic facets are unforgiving. On skin that runs warm, the raspberry can turn sour and the vetiver can read aggressively bitter. It is a demanding composition, and it is not interested in pleasing everyone.
