Our take

Aldehydes give the opening a scrubbed, soapy brightness, like clean laundry pulled straight off the line, with rose and pink pepper adding a soft warmth right behind it. It smells like the idea of clean, not any specific soap or detergent, and the aldehydes carry that idea through the whole opening. Peony, violet and African orange flower move in for the heart, turning the fragrance powdery and a little sweet without much fruit or heaviness to it. This is where the white in white floral shows up most: light, a little waxy, like petals, not perfume.

Musk, woodsy notes and sandalwood settle in for the base, and this part is quiet and close, sanding the aldehydic sharpness from the opening into something soft and skin-like. The woodsy base stays pale and abstract, felt more than smelled, built around the idea of freshness rather than richness. It holds neither quick to fade nor built to last, a fair middle stretch, and it keeps a gentle halo close around the wearer.

Spring carries it best, and it holds up fine through most of the year given how light it stays; daytime wear suits it far better than an evening out. The whole fragrance stays committed to one idea, clean laundry rendered as scent, without reaching for florals or sweetness.
