The leather emerges not as a raw hide or a new handbag, but as an old, well-worn motorcycle jacket that has soaked up years of campfire smoke and spilled amber whiskey. Jasmine sambac creeps in like a half-forgotten memory of a woman’s perfume caught in the lining, floral but not sweet, adding a dusky, animalic undertone. The base is all amber and moss, earthy patchouli clinging to the skin like damp forest floor after a storm.
This is a heavy, cozy scent built for deep winter nights when you want to feel wrapped in something old and lived-in. Think of a leather armchair in a wood-paneled study, the pages of a dog-eared novel curling from the heat of a roaring fire. That is the image it paints: intimate, slightly melancholic, but utterly comfortable in its own skin.
It feels more synthetic than natural, leaning designer rather than niche, and its weaknesses are obvious. With longevity hovering at 3.5 and sillage barely reaching 3, it fades into a skin scent after a few hours. You will have to overspray and reapply, which for the price is tolerable.
