Our take

A stone path winds through a grove of cedars where the air feels cool and damp against the skin. Crushed laurel leaves underfoot release a sharp, green bite that mixes with the dry heat of cardamom pods held in a loose grip. A curl of frankincense smoke drifts from a nearby open window, thick and resinous, blending into the earthy depth of vetiver rising from the soil. The scent feels textured, like rough bark and cold air, with a musky softness that clings to the wool of a coat sleeve.

The atmosphere is heavy with amber and a distinct camphor coolness that tingles in the nose, cutting through the warm spicy air. It is a fragrance that feels grounded in the forest floor, where the aromatic sharpness of the herbs meets the ancient, powdery dryness of the trees. There is a stillness here, a moment where the cedar and the musk create a boundary between the path and the quiet woods, making the surrounding world feel hushed and contained within the scent of the resin.

Elena Markova composed this unisex release to capture a specific walk, where the frankincense feels like a lingering memory against the sturdy backdrop of wood and the clean, sharp edge of the laurel, the cardamom adding a final, bright spark to the deep, musky air that hangs over the trail as the light shifts through the branches
