Character
The courtyard is quiet after the last guests have gone inside. Pink pepper pricks the air first, bright and slightly sharp, followed quickly by bergamot that lifts the opening with a clean citrus snap. Cardamom warms the edges, its gentle spice curling through the cool night air without overwhelming the lighter notes that arrived before it.
Virginia cedar soon takes a steady place at the center, dry and straight, while patchouli adds an earthy depth that feels grounded rather than heavy. The woodiness is calm and present, letting the spice from the opening linger in the background. Sandalwood smooths the sharper edges, and oakmoss brings a mossy, powdery finish that settles the entire composition into something rooted and composed.
The scene holds a stone wall lined with climbing ivy, the air cool against skin, wood and moss breathing from the shadows while a single lantern glows against the dark.
