Character
The courtyard is quiet under a dark sky. A wool coat brushes against cedar planks as someone settles onto a bench near a stone wall. Apricot and ginger arrive first, bright and slightly sharp, joined by saffron that carries a metallic edge. Carnation leaves add a green, faintly powdery touch. It feels like a small spark in the cool air, gone before the evening settles in.
The bench creaks as the night deepens. Dried fruits soften the air, sweet and heavy, resting against amyris and cedar. Guaiac wood and sandalwood build a warm, resinous foundation that feels close and grounding. Balsam fir adds a clean, forest-like coolness that cuts through the sweetness. Leather sits underneath it all, smooth and slightly dry, pulling the composition toward something mature. The powdery accord lingers in the space between the coat collar and the skin. Wood and leather hold the scene together, steady and unchanging while the courtyard remains still.
