SHAMAN
Fragrance notes
Character
The room is dim, lit only by the amber glow of a low lamp and the quiet heat of a fireplace that has burned down to embers. A single drop of Assam oud meets the air first, resinous and dark, but it does not dominate. Clary sage and saffron rise together, the sage cool and herbal against the metallic warmth of saffron threads, while myrrh adds a dry, ancient weight that feels pulled from a wooden chest. The atmosphere is thick with balsamic warmth, the kind that settles into the fibers of a wool sweater and the grain of old furniture.
As the evening deepens, sandalwood smooths the edges of the oud, its creamy wood wrapping around opoponax and amber until the blend feels like a second skin. The amber is not bright or sugary here. It is deep and resinous, softened by a powdery haze that lingers in the space between breath and thought. Opoponax hums underneath, balsamic and slightly bitter, keeping the sweetness grounded in something earthy and raw. The air smells of polished wood, dried herbs, and a quiet, unfolding heat that belongs entirely to this room, to this hour, to the way the light catches the dust
