Our take

Sailing Day is built entirely around the idea of open water. Sea notes and aldehydes open cold and salty, coriander and red pepper adding a faint prickle before juniper and iris bring the middle back toward something drier and greener. It's an unremarkable, average performer on skin, not a fragrance that asks much of you in terms of upkeep, present at a steady, low-key pace throughout.

Rose sits underneath the iris, barely sweet, more mineral than floral, adding just a hint of softness to an otherwise cold, aromatic structure. Seaweed, ambergris, cedar and amberwood take over in the base, keeping the marine idea going instead of resolving into a typical warm amber, so the drydown still smells more of the sea than of a bottle.

The salt accord never fully leaves, so even the woody, ambery finish smells faintly of something left to dry near the coast. It keeps to a private radius, the kind of cold, salty air only caught up close, and summer daytime wear is clearly where it belongs, best on skin that's already warm from actual sun.
