Our take

Glamour opens with a mango so ripe it’s practically sweating, a juicy, terpenic burst that feels like standing under a tropical canopy at noon. That sweetness quickly meets gardenia, a white flower that here is powdered, almost lactonic, like the petals have been dipped in warm cream. The dry-down softens to amber, but it’s a thin, buzzy amber that never quite settles into your skin. The overall impression is of a mango smoothie left out on a porch in July: enticing for the first few sips, then increasingly syrupy and faint.

This is a daytime-only fragrance, born for spring and summer, and it knows its limits. Longevity barely clears two hours; sillage hovers at a whisper. You’ll need to reapply if you want anyone to notice past your own collar. The animalic undertone keeps it from being a pure candy floss affair, but don’t mistake that for depth. It’s still firmly mainstream, sweet in a synthetic-happy way that department store aisles adore.

Who should buy it? Someone who wants a cheerful, low-commitment tropical floral for a quick errand or a lazy afternoon picnic. Who should skip it? Anyone looking for presence, lasting power, or a white floral that actually blooms instead of wilting into amber. Glamour is a vacation you have to pack yourself, and it’s over before you find your towel.
