Our take

Walking through a garden just after the morning sun has warmed the soil, you are met with bright citrus that feels immediate and clean. Bergamot and sweet orange lead the way, supported by petitgrain and a sharp thread of red thyme that keeps the opening from becoming too soft. It is a lively start that feels natural rather than polished, like peeling fruit outside rather than sitting in a department store.

The heart opens into a dense floral weave where tuberose and jasmine take charge, joined by ylang-ylang, rose, and orange blossom. Wild lavender and gorse add a green, slightly wild edge, while cloves bring a gentle heat that sits beneath the petals. Geranium tightens the bouquet so it never drifts into pure sweetness, giving the composition a structured feel that holds attention.

As the scent settles, myrrh and patchouli anchor the flowers with a resinous depth. Sandalwood smooths the surface, and an unusual touch of wheat gives the base a dry, almost bread-like warmth that separates this from typical white floral releases. The result is a fragrance that feels rooted in earth even while the top remains bright and airy.

The one drawback is the crowd in the middle. With so many flowers competing at once, the individual character of each bloom can get lost. Tuberose dominates, but the others blur together, making the center of the wear feel busy rather than carefully layered.
