The opening feels like two rooms forced together. A clear rose arrives first, soft and familiar, but it is immediately joined by a sharp pine needle edge that pushes the flower into colder air. The combination is not seamless. The resinous green of the pine fights the delicate petals, creating a tension that keeps the nose alert rather than relaxed. It is a brisk, almost clinical start that refuses to settle into a standard floral welcome.

Around the corner, the spices enter the space. Pepper and cumin bring a dry, dusty heat that mingles with the powdery root of orris and the crisp green stem of hyacinth. The rose is still present, but it has lost its freshness and now wears the spices like a heavy garment. The cumin adds a specific earthiness that grounds the bright top notes, pulling the entire atmosphere toward something rooted in soil and bark. The air feels textured now, layered with aromatic warmth that wraps around the initial chill.

Deep in the base, oud and cedar take hold, their dark wood tones merging with the damp earth of patchouli and the soft skin of musk.
