Eau de Rochas Neroli Azur disappears before the day really starts. That is the first thing to know. You spray it on before walking out the door, and by the time you sit down to lunch, it has nearly faded into the air. It does not project. No one will smell it unless they lean in close. This is not a fragrance that announces you. It stays quiet, close, personal. But in that nearness, it does something lovely. A terrace table under a bright morning sun. A linen shirt with the sleeves rolled up. The air is already warm, the kind that smells like sun-heated stone and cold sparkling water. On skin, the citrus lands first. Blood orange and mandarin, juicy and a little sharp, like peeling a fruit in the sun. Then the neroli rises, soft and white, giving the brightness a floral lift. Petitgrain adds a clean, green edge, like crushed leaves. The base is where it gets intimate. Musk and amber settle in, not heavy, just a skin-like warmth that lingers in the heat.
