Fragrance notes
Composed by Alice Lavenat, this citrus fragrance opens with a bright, slightly sharp blend of grapefruit and mandarin orange. The aldehydes add a fizzy, sparkling lift that pushes the fruit forward without making it sweet. It feels clean and immediate, leaning into a classic eau de cologne structure but with a modern, synthetic edge that keeps the opening from feeling rustic or heavy.
The heart introduces neroli alongside a sea water note that reads as cool and slightly salty. This mineral quality runs through the center of the composition, giving the citrus a wet, stony character. It prevents the orange blossom from becoming too floral or romantic. The transition is smooth, moving from the sparkle of the top into a cleaner, more aquatic profile that stays light on the skin.
Cedar and patchouli form a dry, woody base that anchors the composition. The musk adds a soft, powdery texture that lingers after the citrus fades. While the mineral and marine accords are distinctive, the patchouli here can feel a bit muted and generic compared to the vivid opening. The overall balance favors the fresh and aromatic side, leaving the deeper woods as a subtle backdrop rather than a dominant presence.
