Fragrance №06 opens with a sharp bite that some will find too aggressive. The chili pepper and cloves hit first, prickling the nose with heat before the sweeter elements have a chance to settle. This intensity can feel unbalanced at the very start, as the spicy kick dominates the air around it and leaves little room for the other notes to breathe immediately.
Once that initial heat calms, the heart reveals a rich tobacco leaf wrapped in the honeyed depth of immortelle. The amaretto from the top lingers, lending a fruity almond character to the smoke. Vanilla and benzoin in the base provide a resinous sweetness that grounds the blend, creating a texture that is thick and golden. It feels like standing near a fireplace in a wood-paneled room, holding a drink that warms you from the inside.
The challenge with this scent is that the opening pepper never fully recedes, sometimes clashing with the soft vanilla instead of supporting it. That harsh edge remains present throughout the wear, which might bother those who prefer their gourmands to be smooth. It is a bold choice for a cold night out, but the rough transition between the spice and the resin is a hurdle you must be willing to accept.
