Cherry in The Woods
Fragrance notes
Character
The fruit here leans sweet enough that it can feel a little heavy before the rest of the structure catches up. Cherry leads with a thick, syrup-like weight, and the red apple and pear only add more sugar to the opening. Blood orange is present, but it does not cut the density. This is not a bright, sharp start, and anyone who prefers a dry citrus will find the first few minutes too much.
Roses and jasmine sambac soften the fruit, while raspberry keeps the heart on the same sweet path. Elemi resin adds a mild resinous lift that prevents the middle from sitting completely flat. Vanilla and tonka bean carry that warmth into the base, where amberwood and sandalwood give the blend a smooth, rounded woodiness. Vetiver sits underneath to keep the foundation from becoming pure dessert. The scent stays near the body as it develops, and it remains present for a reasonable span without ever pushing outward.
This suits daytime wear when the air is clear and the light is steady. The composition holds together best when it is not competing with heavier surroundings. It is a sweet, fruity, vanilla-forward fragrance with a cherry core and a woody, amber finish.
