You get a cold blast of clary sage and citrus, a bright and almost metallic top that quickly falls away. Then the heart emerges: smoky olibanum, sticky elemi, a sharp pinch of cardamom, and the leathery whisper of styrax. This is not a perfume that rushes. It develops slowly, layer by layer, until the base reveals itself as a dense, almost dusty amber fortified with labdanum, a touch of vanilla, and patchouli.
