Rock Lobster
Fragrance notes
Character
The afternoon sun hits a boardwalk table where a glass of cherry soda sweats into the wood. Rock Lobster lives in that glass. The opening fizz comes straight from the Coca-Cola and sarsaparilla, dark and bubbling with black currant rounding the edges. It smells like a treat you buy with cash on a warm day, sticky and bright at the same time.
Rhubarb and honeysuckle pull the sweetness toward something green, keeping the fruit from sitting too heavy on the air. The caramel in the base moves in slowly, wrapping the tart opening in a warm blanket that refuses to disappear when the breeze picks up. Benzoin and ambergris give the entire mix a resinous weight that carries the scent forward through the changing light.
Crustaceans sits at the foundation as a salty, mineral thread that makes the sugar feel like it belongs near the ocean. The scent stays present on the skin while you walk, noticeable to anyone passing close enough to catch the drift. You are standing on the wood with sugar on your fingers and the salt still drying on your arms.
