Turkish and Bulgarian rose lead Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst, jammy and a little winey, laid directly over an oud note that stays smooth, not sharp or barnyard-like. The two roses together read as one dense, saturated flower instead of two distinct varieties, thick from the very first spray.
A spiced brightness lifts the very top briefly, giving the rose some initial energy before it fades and the oud takes over completely. There's no real citrus to speak of, so the opening leans warm and spiced right from the first spray.
Amber rounds out the base, warm and sweet, softening the oud's dry edge into something rounder by the finish. A soft sweetness lingers underneath the amber too, rounding out what could otherwise feel like a fairly dry, woody oud.
Longevity is long-lasting, the oud-amber base holding its density well without thinning early. Sillage has real presence, the kind that gets noticed and commented on, never something to overlook. It belongs squarely to the coldest part of the year, worn after dark when the oud's weight actually feels earned.
