Pineapple is an odd guest at a fragrance built on black pepper and tobacco, and Asad uses that oddity well: a bright, faintly sour top note that burns off fast and hands the stage to something far heavier. Patchouli and coffee take over next, bitter and dark, while iris adds a soft, powdery hush underneath that smooths the shift from top to heart. By the base it has settled into vanilla, amber, dry wood, benzoin and labdanum, warm and resinous, a thick sweetness that leans toward incense and old wood rather than dessert.
Sillage sits as a modest bubble around the wearer, present without demanding attention, and the scent itself sticks around once it settles, a trait suited to its own weight and density. This reads as a night fragrance built for cooler seasons, better suited to fall and winter evenings than to a summer afternoon, when that same warmth would feel like too much.
Anyone drawn to sweet oriental compositions with a warm, spiced edge from the tobacco and patchouli will find plenty to like here. Those chasing something clean or citrus-led will not find it in this bottle.
