Winter Oak opens with a brisk snap of bergamot and lemon, softened by the herbal lift of clary sage and a sharp crack of pepper. Geranium adds a green, slightly floral edge that keeps the entrance from feeling too heavy. The pepper lingers just long enough to announce the shift before the heart takes over with warm cloves and the golden, slightly medicinal glow of saffron. Mate brings a dry, tea-like bitterness that grounds the spices, while frankincense adds a resinous, church-like stillness.
The true character lives in the base, where oak and cedar create a dense forest floor that feels cool and shadowed. Atlas cedar reinforces that timber strength, while Haitian vetiver and oakmoss lend a damp, earthy soil note that anchors the entire composition. Suede and musk wrap the woods in a soft, worn texture, and patchouli deepens the shadow with its dark, root-like weight. The result is a rugged, woody scent that paints a picture of walking through a damp, leaf-strewn grove in a heavy coat.
