Our take

This opens with a boozy, almost candied splash of sour cherry and raspberry, like the first sip of a cheap red wine that’s been sweetened to hell for a party crowd. The raspberry darts ahead, tart and jammy, while the wine note stays polished and hollow, a glass bowl more than a vineyard. As it dries, a faint almond nuttiness creeps in, softening the edges into something creamy, almost like a cherry cordial left out in the sun. The whole affair is fruit-forward and unabashedly synthetic, a sweet body spray that knows it’s a dessert and doesn’t apologize.

The overall character is a cherry-smeared wine glass left on a picnic table at dusk, half-empty, still sticky, catching the last light. It’s sweet but not cloying, and the raspberry keeps it from tipping into cough syrup territory. That said, the longevity is a cramped two hours, and the sillage barely fills a room, even on fabric. For a 2019 launch that scores high on popularity, it’s frustratingly ephemeral. You have to reapply like a teen with a purse full of body mist. Who is this for? The person who wants to smell like a candy store wine tasting, who doesn’t need a fragrance to last through dinner. Skip it if you demand depth or a sober, natural profile. Wear it on a cool fall afternoon when you’re indoors, layering sweaters, or on a spring evening when you’re heading somewhere casual and loud. It’s a mood, not a statement.
