Opulent Odyssey opens with a sharp bite of ginger and bergamot that cuts through the cool green of cypress. Raspberry adds a tart, fleeting brightness that feels like a brief spark before the heavier elements arrive. Saffron brings a warm, leathery heat to the early minutes. Geranium appears twice in the structure, lending a fresh, slightly minty leafiness that bridges the citrus and the spices. Mandarin orange provides a juicy, sunny lift that keeps the opening from feeling too severe.
The heart reveals a dense oud paired with the dusty softness of violet and the rich red of rose and Damask rose. Leather enters with a smooth, worn texture, while mate contributes a dry, herbal bitterness. In the base, castoreum and labdanum create a deep, animalic resinous weight. Sandalwood and amber offer a creamy, golden warmth, contrasted by the dark, damp earth of patchouli and the grey ash of incense. Vanilla and benzoin add a sweet, balsamic glow, resting on a foundation of musk and amyris. The scent is a heavy velvet curtain in a wood-paneled room lit only by a flickering fireplace.
