Our take

Tuberose and gardenia announce themselves immediately in Truth or Dare, a white floral opening with almost no warm-up before neroli adds a thin citrus edge underneath. Jasmine and lily deepen the bouquet further, thick and a little narcotic in the way big white flowers tend to get. It stays put with real tenacity, in no hurry to fade once it settles, and people pick up on it before you've had the chance to say hello.

Vanilla and amber warm the base considerably, and musk adds an animalic edge underneath, giving the tuberose some grit so it never turns saccharine.

Fall and winter bring out the richest version of it, the amber and vanilla base feeling heavy once the weather cools, though spring holds up well too. It works equally by day or night, unusual for a white floral this dense, and benzoin adds a warm thread connecting the tuberose to the vanilla base.

Stephen Nilsen built it as a genuinely heavy tuberose, unapologetic about how loud white florals can get, and summer is really the only season where that density starts to feel like too much. What stays memorable is the tuberose itself, holding the lead over gardenia, jasmine and lily as the composition moves from bright top notes into the vanilla-warmed base, never once stepping aside for something quieter.
