Stellato opens with pink nerium oleander, cinnamon, and caraway. The oleander brings a cool, slightly bitter floral edge. Cinnamon adds a dry heat that does not lean gourmand. Caraway contributes a sharp, seed-like spice that keeps the entrance from feeling soft. The top notes move quickly into the heart.
The middle reveals damask rose, geranium, jasmine, and tea. Rose and jasmine form a dense white floral layer. Geranium adds a green, slightly minty lift. Tea introduces a mild, steeped leaf tone that smooths the petals. The transition feels steady rather than dramatic.
The base dominates the composition. Guaiac wood and sandalwood create a dry, polished timber foundation. Orris and patchouli add rooty earthiness. Frankincense and oud bring resinous depth. Vanilla, amber, and musk wrap the woods in a warm, slightly sweet haze. The drydown is heavy on resin and wood.
The extensive base list creates a crowded finish. The vanilla and amber sometimes blur the distinct oud and frankincense facets. The caraway from the opening clashes with the sweet resin as the hours pass. People who prefer a clear separation between spice and floral notes may find the blend too muddled.
