Oudini
Fragrance notes
Character
Oudini opens with a direct tobacco note that carries a dry, leaf-like quality. Ambergris adds a mineral, slightly salty warmth that rounds the edges without making the start sweet. Ebony contributes a dark, polished wood tone that sits close to the tobacco and sets the fragrance on a serious path from the first moment.
The heart introduces ho wood, which brings a soft, camphoraceous lift that prevents the tobacco from feeling too heavy. Patchouli enters with an earthy, damp soil character that anchors the middle phase. Together, these notes create a bridge between the opening and the base that feels grounded and resinous rather than bright.
The base settles into oud, which presents a medicinal, woody depth typical of the material. Sandalwood offers a creamy contrast to the sharper oud, while Virginia cedar adds a dry, pencil-shaving sharpness that lingers in the background. The overall composition stays woody and amber-heavy throughout. The synthetic aspects of the ambergris and oud can feel a bit sharp and lack the natural smoothness found in more refined oud fragrances.
