Nila Douce
Fragrance notes
Character
Nila Douce opens with almond blossom and bergamot. The citrus is bright and clean. Earl Grey tea adds a brisk, slightly tannic edge. Davana brings a gentle fruity warmth that rounds out the top without turning heavy.
The heart settles into iris and suede. Tonka bean and praline add a soft, edible sweetness. Labdanum and cypriol introduce a resinous, earthy depth. The suede note feels smooth rather than rough, and the iris stays powdery throughout.
The base rests on musk, sandalwood, and cedar. Benzoin and bourbon vanilla lend a warm, amber glow. Oud is present but restrained, adding a dark wood facet instead of a loud animalic character. The musk keeps the drydown close and personal.
The composition leans heavily on powder. The praline and vanilla push the sweetness higher than the tea and cypriol can balance. The suede and oud give it texture, but the overall impression stays firmly in a soft, floral amber lane that lacks contrast.
