The first spray smells like walking into a stone chapel where someone has just lit a bundle of resin. Incense rises sharp and clean, curling through the air while a small slice of apricot sits on a wooden pew. Davana adds a gentle herbal twist that keeps the fruit from feeling like candy. Osmanthus soon appears with a soft petal texture, and labdanum pushes a golden, sticky warmth through the center. Suede gives the floral heart a tactile surface, as if the flowers are pressed against worn leather upholstery.
Oud anchors the base with a dark, dry wood that never turns medicinal. Patchouli and cypriol pull the blend toward earth, while vanilla and amber try to wrap the edges in a thick syrup. Cedar and vetiver provide a dry spine so the sweetness does not collapse. Musk lingers in the background, blurring the lines between skin and fabric. The problem is the balance. Vanilla and amber are applied with a heavy hand, so the elegant wood and smoke often get buried under a thick, sugary blanket that feels too dense for such a refined structure.
