The side door of a stone house opens onto a courtyard where the air is cool and the light has gone thin. Cypress and bergamot lead the way, bright and resinous, with osmanthus adding a soft apricot touch that keeps the entrance from feeling sharp. Citrus lifts the opening without turning it sunny. Hawthorn and orange sit beside jasmine and rose in the middle, a floral mix that feels more like a garden wall than a bouquet, green and slightly aldehydic.
The woods take over slowly. Sandalwood carries the name and the mood, creamy and close, while cedar adds a dry line that keeps the texture from going flat. Amber and tonka bean bring a rounded sweetness that feels warm rather than sugary, and patchouli grounds the blend with an earthy depth. The accord reads woody and aromatic first, then floral and fresh spicy, then amber and sweet as the base settles. Powdery and green notes drift through the later stage, and warm spicy sits underneath everything.
