Peppered Earth
Fragrance notes
Character
A cobblestone courtyard sits quiet under a pale sky, the air cool enough that the breath fogs slightly. Someone leans against a weathered brick wall, and the scent rising from their jacket is bright at first. Pink pepper crackles over the tart snap of black currant, a sharp opening that cuts through the still morning. The fruit is not sweet in a candy way. It feels like fresh skin warmed by a few rays of sun, alive and a little bit restless.
As the moment stretches, the sharper edges soften into a floral heart. Rose and jasmine rise together, their petals damp with dew, lending a classic elegance to the scene. This is not a loud bouquet. It rests close, supported by a dry cedar that smells of planed timber and old workshops. The flowers keep the atmosphere refined while the wood underneath grounds the entire picture in something sturdy and real.
Patchouli and musk begin to show themselves, dark and earthy against the stone. A whisper of leather appears, smooth and worn, like the scuffed sleeves of a favorite coat. The animalic accord adds a raw, human warmth to the air, pulling the fruity top and the woody base into a single, cohesive texture. It is a complex mix of nature and city, of fresh growth and aged materials, all hovering in the space between the wall and the open
