Sunlight warms the terrace tiles while a glass of guava juice rests on the iron table. Pink freesia drifts through the air first, bright and dewy, joined quickly by the tropical fruit that smells like sliced wedges left in the heat. Saffron threads a faint metallic glow through the petals, and then rose and Indian jasmine unfold together in a thick, creamy layer that feels almost liquid. Black amber adds a resinous weight that pulls the flowers downward, while patchouli brings an earthy roughness to the edges. Vanilla smooths the surface so the spices never bite, creating a gourmand haze that clings to the skin like warm air. The scent feels expensive and dense, a rich floral that refuses to stay light even under a bright sky.
Jérôme Epinette composed this mist to be a full statement rather than a fleeting refresh. The problem sits in the bottle itself. As a body mist, the format promises a casual, easy companion for hot days, but the materials inside behave like a heavy extrait. The animalic edge of the amber and the dense patchouli can feel overwhelming when the air is already humid, turning a joyful walk into a stuffy experience. It asks for restraint that the formula does not offer, leaving the wearer with a scent that fights the very environment it was designed to join.
