Our take

Amore opens with a saturated coconut note that feels thick and creamy rather than breezy. The fruit around it is bright and wet, with grapefruit and orange lending a sharp edge to the sweetness. There is a salty, animalic pull underneath that keeps the opening from smelling like a beach product. The custard and vanilla in the base give the blend a heavy, dessert-like weight that clings to fabric and skin with intensity.

Violet and heliotrope add a powdery softness that sits between the fruit and the richer base. The ambergris here is marine and slightly metallic, cutting through the lactonic cream with a cool, damp air. It creates a contrast that feels like walking past a bakery near the ocean, where warm air meets a cold wind. The tonka bean rounds out the sharper citrus quickly, leaving a smooth, almond-like warmth behind.

The composition leans heavily into its gourmand side, which can become overwhelming in a warm room. The animalic accord is noticeable and may feel too bold for someone who prefers clean, soapy florals. It is a dense fragrance that demands a light hand during application, as the coconut and custard notes tend to dominate every other element in the mix.
