Our take

Terra Extreme opens with a bright, sticky burst of cinnamon and citrus, like someone cracked a mandarin over a rum barrel and tossed in a fistful of baking spice. The grapefruit and bergamot keep it from tipping into full holiday potpourri, but the sweetness arrives fast. Rum and orange blossom tumble in mid-development, turning the heart into a boozy, powdery floral that borders on gourmand. The dry down settles on vanilla and tonka, dusted with ambroxan and sandalwood, with a faint benzoin warmth clinging to the skin.

This is an Oriental Vanilla built for cold weather, and the voting confirms it: fall at 100 percent, winter at 82. It feels like a spiked eggnog that someone left on the radiator, cozy and synthetic in the way a mall candle is cozy, not niche by any stretch. The sillage is a whisper and longevity barely clears three hours, which is the real crime here. You get a delicious, sweet amber vanilla with a boozy backbone, and then it evaporates. Who should wear it? Anyone who wants a cheap thrill for a date night or a crisp afternoon walk, and who doesn’t mind reapplying. Skip it if you demand projection or prefer your vanillas dry and leathery. Terra Extreme is a warm hug that ends before the party does.
