Black Carrot arrives heavy and unapologetic, and that weight is exactly where some will find its only real drawback. The opening is a dense rush of plum and hazelnut wrapped in white chocolate and vanilla, so thick that it can feel a little suffocating if you prefer something airy. There is no lightness here, only a rich, almost sticky sweetness that demands a certain kind of patience from the person wearing it.
Picture a dimly lit room on a cold night, a heavy wool coat still on your shoulders, and the air around you filled with dark chocolate, caramel, and a dusting of sugar. Lavender and sage try to cut through the candy, while pepper adds a small spark of heat to the amber and honey. Cedar and sandalwood ground the blend, but the patchouli and oakmoss never let it drift too far from the gourmand. It suits someone who enjoys being enveloped by scent and does not mind standing out in a crowd. If you usually reach for fresh citrus or clean linen, this will feel like too much.
