Oh My Deer!
Fragrance notes
Character
Oh My Deer! opens with a blast of aldehydes that feel like cold, electrified air, immediately spliced with Sichuan and black pepper. This is not a gentle introduction. The pepper bites, and the aldehydes shimmer with a synthetic clarity that sets the stage for something unsettling. As it develops, the heart reveals metallic notes that clang like a struck bell, softened just slightly by the dewy, almost poisonous sweetness of lily-of-the-valley. It is a bizarre courtship between industrial scrap and spring bloom.
The base is where the animal notes crawl out from under the vanillic amber and musky incense, dragging the whole composition into a warm, smoky fur den. The overall character is a huntsman’s coat hung next to a burning church. It feels heavy, deliberately synthetic, and deeply niche — the kind of fragrance that demands a second sniff rather than a compliment. Given its moderate longevity and soft sillage, it will not dominate a room, which is merciful.
It suits those who love cerebral contrast and the thrill of a dirty floral. Skip it if you want comfort or clean. Wear it in fall or winter, at night, when you want to feel like the last strange thing moving through a dark forest. Does it truly need that much pepper? Perhaps not, but that is the point.
