Our take

Jardin Majorelle opens with orange blossom and aromatic spices that give the fragrance a bright, slightly peppery start. The spices add a dry edge to the citrus floral tone, keeping the opening from feeling sugary. It moves quickly into a dense heart of lily-of-the-valley, rose, heliotrope, jasmine and vanilla. The vanilla here is soft and powdery, blending with the heliotrope to create a rounded floral core that feels warm rather than sharp.

The white floral accord dominates the middle stage. Jasmine and rose sit side by side, with the rose adding a gentle freshness and the jasmine contributing a slightly indolic weight. Lily-of-the-valley brings a clean, green touch that prevents the heart from becoming too heavy. Vanilla smooths the transition between the fresh top and the deeper base notes that follow.

In the base, benzoin, tuberose, amber and musk take over. The tuberose is creamy and rich, pairing closely with the benzoin to create a resinous warmth. Amber adds a golden, slightly sweet depth, while musk grounds the composition with a skin-like softness. The powdery accord from the heart lingers here, carried by the heliotrope and benzoin into the deeper layers of the fragrance.

This is a unisex fragrance composed by Michelle Moellhausen and launched in 2019. The mix of fresh, warm spicy, aquatic and musky accords gives it a versatile character that works across different occasions. The white floral and vanilla elements stay present throughout, supported by amber and a soft powdery finish that keeps the scent feeling close and
